So as an Assistant Chemical Application Engineer, the candidates will work,
learn and develop in a real job with real responsibility in Operations
Department.

Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Chemical Application Engineer shall; Assist, learn, perform and develop in the following activities

Ensure availability and optimum use of production chemicals.
Ensure adherence to the Production Chemical budget.
Assist chemical Vendors to maintain a high level of service to Maersk Oil
Qatar.
Participate on continuous improvement of chemical application.
Ensure occupational and process safety is afforded the highest levels of
attention.
Obtain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of chemical treatment and related
application.
Work with vendor’s personnel offshore.
Assist in monitoring chemical usage, delivery and stock levels to ensure
availability.
Assist on chemical tender processes.
Assist offshore chemical optimization exercises.
The Assistant Chemical Application Engineer is a development role and shall
participate in training programmes and learning activities in order acquire the
required technical and professional expertise

Who they are looking for:
- A candidate with Chemical Engineering or Chemistry degree.
- 1-2 years similar working experience is an advantage.
- Willing to work and stay off-shore.
- Technical knowledge about chemistry, process operations, corrosion, materials, fluid dynamics, oil and gas production.
- Proactive, self motivated, eager to learn, team player having individual responsibility and integrity.
- Must be self motivated and have the ability to work effectively within multi-disciplined and multicultural teams.
- Strong interpersonal and English communication skills – verbal and written.
- Computer literate with analytical and enquiring approach.
